HN10 - Increase in the cost of British Virgin Islands Companies with large share capital

The Government fees for a BVI company with a large share capital have been increased. If a company is required, for example, with 100,000 shares, the Government fee is now US$1,100 on incorporation and for each subsequent year. Registered office/agent fees are in addition to this charge.

Nevis companies do not impose a higher charge for companies with a large share capital. The Nevis Government fee is a consistent US$235 on incorporation and US$220 annually thereafter.

The re-domiciliation of companies to Nevis is a straightforward process and may be worth consideration, in particular on a cost efficiency basis for companies with a share capital greater than 50,000 shares. For additional information please contact: john.terry@dixcartnevis.com.
