HN5 - The Isle of Man Government signs Co-operation Agreements with Nordic Countries

The Isle of Man has concluded tax and economic co-operation agreements with the seven members of the Nordic Council. The seven members are: Denmark, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and The Faroe Islands.

The historic package of twenty eight agreements was signed at a ceremony in Oslo on Tuesday 30th October 2007 by the Isle of Man’s Treasury Minister Allan Bell MHK.

These agreements are the first type of arrangement between the Nordic countries and an international financial centre. In particular they support business opportunities in such areas as international shipping and aviation, which are strong and growing sectors of the Isle of Man economy.
