Charity and Community Support

Our commitment to charity and community comes from people, not policy. As a firm, we support charities that reflect our values. But what truly defines our approach is that our people lead the way.

We believe in supporting communities and causes because they matter to our people and to the places where we live and work.

We believe in supporting communities and causes because they matter to our people and to the places where we live and work.

Our charity work is driven by genuine commitment, not obligation, and behind every cause we support, you will find there is a personal story—something that matters deeply to one of our people, their family, or their community.

We encourage our teams to champion the causes closest to their hearts, and we stand behind them with the time, resources, and support to make a real difference.

This is part of who we are. Rooted in our culture of belonging, growth, and support, our charity and community work is personal, meaningful, and above all, shared. When our people care, we care with them. It means our impact, as small or big as it may be, is personal, it is authentic, and it is much more meaningful.

As a Group

Cancer has deeply impacted many of our staff within our Group. In support of colleagues, families and loved ones affected by cancer, we actively support Cancer Research and the vital work carried out by its international network of charities.

In 2025, colleagues from across all Dixcart offices came together to support this global effort through a group‑wide Step Count Challenge, collectively completing an impressive 3 million steps, raising £700 for Cancer Research.

Participants virtually walked the distance between all Dixcart offices over six weeks—starting in the Isle of Man and travelling through London, Sark, Guernsey, Switzerland, Cyprus, Malta and Lisbon, before finishing in Madeira. The challenge demonstrated not only our shared commitment to the cause, but the strength of collaboration across our international teams.

As part of the initiative, we also partnered with Ecologi to help offset our environmental impact. For every ten participants, one tree was planted, resulting in eight trees planted in Kenya as part of Ecologi’s reforestation programme.

If you would like to find out more, or view a representation of the trees planted through this initiative, you can click here.

Cyprus

The Cyprus office actively supports charitable initiatives that bring people together and make a positive impact across a wide range of causes.

Each year, the team takes part in the Corporate 5K event, held as part of the Limassol Marathon weekend. This event raises funds for over 40 different charities, supporting causes including cancer patients, people with special needs, vulnerable children, and endangered animals, among many other important initiatives.

By participating in this annual event, the Cyprus office proudly contributes to a collective effort that supports meaningful causes and helps make a difference within the wider community.

Guernsey

Our Guernsey office takes pride in their commitment to supporting local initiatives that have a positive impact on the community.

Business Beats Cancer

Business Beats Cancer brings together groups of business leaders across the UK with a common goal: advancing cancer research to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Dixcart Guernsey are committed to the fight against cancer and support the essential work of Cancer Research UK.

Dixcart Guernsey supports a local branch of Cancer Research UK through support in the Sark 10 running event; each year, Sark (an island off of Guernsey) holds the Sark 10 races in support of St. John Guernsey LBG. Through this, the office has helped raise over £6,000 in the last two years.

John Guernsey LBG

In January 2025, Marc Farror, COO of Dixcart was appointed as the Knight Commander for St. John Guernsey, a local charity providing essential emergency response and community health services. This role recognises Marc’s unwavering dedication to the St. John organisation, where he now serves as the figurehead and Chair of the Board overseeing the St. John Guernsey Charity and Ambulance and Rescue Service. The picture shows Marc meeting King Charles as part of the St. John contingent. It’s a truly well-deserved recognition of his commitment.

Guernsey Volunteers at the Annual Sark 10

Each year, Sark (an island off Guernsey) hosts the Sark 10 races in support of St. John Guernsey LBG. Our Guernsey team supports the event through marshalling, set‑up, and cheering on participants throughout the day. Thanks to the incredible efforts of everyone involved, the event raised a fantastic £5,200 for St. John Guernsey LBG.

The event was a major success, with all profits going to Business Beats Cancer Guernsey, part of Cancer Research UK.

Isle of Man

The Isle of Man office actively works to improve the lives of others, both collectively and through individual efforts. Dixcart Isle of Man employees also engage in charitable initiatives in a personal capacity to support causes close to their hearts.

One such cause is Dravet Syndrome UK, supported by Tom Davies, whose family has been personally affected. When Tom’s son was just 8.5 months old, he experienced his first seizure. Two months later, a second seizure resulted in him being placed in a medically induced coma, with an official diagnosis made just before his first birthday.

Every day in May, people across the Isle of Man, and beyond, take part in the #EveryDayInMayForDravet challenge, running, walking, swimming, or cycling 5 kilometres a day to raise awareness and funds for Dravet Syndrome UK.

Tom bravely shares his family’s story, helping to shine a light on the condition and the incredible work of the charity.

A message from Dravet Syndrome UK: “We are so grateful to Lynda, Tom, and everyone on the Isle of Man taking part. As a small charity, every penny makes a huge difference. Their courage and commitment inspire us all.”

May 2024: Tom Davies and Bernie Johnson embarked on an incredible journey in May 2024. They dedicated themselves to a 5km run every day to raise funds and awareness for Dravet Syndrome UK. Dravet Syndrome UK gives hope to families affected by Dravet Syndrome—a rare and little-known neurological condition.

May 2025: Friends and colleagues joined the challenge. Paul committed to taking on ToughMann in October 2025 to raise funds for a local children’s hospital charity. Tom proudly led the efforts on the Isle of Man, with incredible support from the local community. Across the island, people of all ages got involved, even children took on a 2km version of the challenge.

UK

The UK office actively contributes to multiple organisations. We proudly support:

Walton Firs Foundation

In 2006, community members established the Walton Firs Foundation to purchase and preserve Walton Firs, ensuring its continued use by current and future generations of young people. This UK charity actively encourages young people to engage in outdoor activities, helping them build confidence and develop teamwork skills. Spread over 36 acres of grassland, woodland, flat areas and slopes, the site provides a superb environment for camping, skills training, games, nature and environmental studies, alongside other activities vital to young people both individually and together. The site is located close to the town of Cobham, Surrey, in the UK.

Walton Firs was owned and operated by the Scout Association for over 50 years. When the Association announced its plans to sell, the ‘Walton Firs Foundation’ was established and successfully raised £800,000 to buy the site.

More than 15,000 young people visit Walton Firs annually. Its users include Surrey County Council, schools, Duke of Edinburgh Award schemes, youth bodies and organisations for the disabled, as well as many Scouts and Guides.

Since 2008, the UK office have made significant enhancements to Walton Firs and have many exciting plans in place for the future.
